Our Construction Group possesses a coveted reputation within the construction industry established through the provision of prompt expert advice on all aspects of construction law. We undertake non-contentious work, acting for a broad range of clients including developers, employers, banks, institutions, consultants, contractors, owners/occupiers, and potential purchasers and tenants. We advise clients on a wide variety of projects including inner-city, town centre and out-of-town projects involving office, retail and/or residential developments and possess particular expertise in providing practical advice on the various procurement strategies. We benefit from considerable experience in the drafting and negotiating of both standard and bespoke construction documentation including building contracts, guarantees, performance bonds, collateral warranties, consultants' appointments and novation agreements. The breadth and experience of our Construction Group provides us with a wide knowledge base from which to draw and our reputation is further enhanced by the strengths of the rest of the firm. Where necessary we work closely with colleagues from our Real Estate Group, Corporate Group and our Banking Group, thereby providing our clients with a comprehensive legal service. A specialist team within our Dispute Resolution Group undertakes contentious construction work and acts for a broad range of clients on a spectrum of construction disputes arising both during the construction phase and post project completion and are expert handlers in all forms of dispute resolution including mediation, arbitration, adjudication and litigation in the Technology and Construction Court.
